If not existing, apply weed barrier before applying new mulch. Land timbers (pressure treated 3x5x8) will also be replaced in hedge rows and planted areas. The COR will determine the condition as well as the number of timbers to be replaced. In these areas, sod replacement may be required at the determination of the COR. The COR will specify the type of sod to be used. The contractor will be required to submit a cost estimate to the COR prior to any, mulch, timber, and sod replacement. Cost will be determined by the square foot, and only areas approved by the COR are to be replaced.
