6) The Staffing Chart includes reference to Attachments J-1 (Cost Detail) and J-3 (2110

Along with Attachment J-4 (Staffing Chart), please include Attachment J-1 (Cost Detail Template) and Attachment J-3 (ETA 2110) in one section; there is no need to separate or to renumber.

7) Will the Government issue a DOL National Staff Compensation Report for the Flint Hills Job Corps Center? If not, will the Government provide guidance on staff compensation and allow more time to conduct salary surveys?

Will any of the following be provided: screen or suitable blank wall space to project presentation; podium; power strips and/or extension cords?

DOL RESPONSE:

Due to the unpredictability of the availability of equipment, presenters should plan that the Government will not be able provide projection screens, speakers, power strips, or extensions cords. Furthermore, the Government cannot guarantee the availability of a blank wall for projection. A podium can be provided if requested. Presenters are reminded that laptops and associated equipment cannot be connected to or access a DOL network; however use of wireless peripherals and hot spot will be allowed.

11) Job Corps PRH Change Notice 15-13 “Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH) Chapters

The operator received approval from the Department of Children and Families to be an acceptable provider for childcare benefits because they have demonstrated the minimum requirements set forth by the state.

Non Job Corps funds are from a monthly fee the parents pay based on how many children they have. A parent with one child pays $275 per month. A parent with 2 children pays $325 per month.

Childcare benefit is allotted by the Department of Children Family Services. Amounts vary by age and DCF only pays for hours a child actually spent receiving direct care (CDC doesn't get paid if a child doesn't attend due to illness, vacation, holiday, etc.).

Pay rates vary by age of the child. Parents qualify and receive benefits for TANF, child care and food stamps through Kansas' Vision Card.

Parents pay a $5 allotment per pay period. The allotment is matched by the government times five. It equals out to the CDC getting approximately $60 per month per family. Only $10 of the $60 is non-government funded.
