About this file

This document outlines detailed delivery requirements for food items at FCC Hazelton's Federal Bureau of Prisons facility. The requirements primarily focus on temperature controls and handling specifications for different food categories.

The requirements mandate that all deliveries must be palletized unless pre-approved by warehouse staff, with specific temperature ranges for different food types: non-frozen perishables (34-40°F), canned goods (above 34°F, not frozen), and frozen foods (0°F or below). Religious diet items must display Kosher symbols on individual packages and comply with BOP National Menu Specifications. The document establishes a three-day conditional receipt period for inspection and testing, with vendors required to pick up rejected items within two days of notification at their expense. Items not retrieved within two weeks will be disposed of by warehouse staff. These requirements are part of a solicitation for quarterly bread delivery services at FCC Hazelton for April 1 - June 30, 2025, with quotes due March 4, 2025.
