Please include the answers to these questions.

1. Describe the nature of the need for temporary services.

Office Coordinator assistance is being requested in the Division of the Academy and Training (DAT), Physical Skills Bureau, Pawnee Training Facility. Daily duties include inventory reconciliation, receptionist duties, filing, and scheduling of training for the Pawnee Training Facility. The employee will need basic knowledge and familiarity with word processor programs (MS Word, WordPerfect, or other as approved by the User Agency), spreadsheet programs (Excel, Lotus, Quattro Pro, or other as approved by the User Agency), database software (MS Access, or other as approved by the User Agency), and email software programs. 2. Explain why the duties listed require a temporary employee and cannot be performed by current staff on a temporary basis or redistribution of work within the division?

The ISP Pawnee Facility has recently experienced a much higher tempo and increased workload created by new initiatives and growth in ISP canine teams. Absent this position, the facility Master Sergeant has to conduct all of the Office Coordinator duties once completed by the former permanent employee. These extra duties often keep the Master Sergeant from his normal day‐to‐day duties and affect the timeliness of task and project completion. In order to complete all current projects, other projected tasks, continue normal day‐to‐day operations and continue to provide expert customer service to the Agency, the Physical Skills Section respectfully requests to contract Office Coordinator assistance until a permanent position can be filled.

3. What is the plan for filling the position permanently?

The application for this position just closed this request will only go until a permanent employee starts.

4. Temporary employees are only allowed for six months for the initial request. Will this employee be needed after the initial six months and will the agency be capable of providing new justification for the continued request?

Depending on the time it takes to post and interview, the position may be needed longer than six months. The agency will be providing new justification if this need arises. This request is only until the permanent position is filled.

Will the temporary worker/s be funded through a program other than the area they are assigned: Yes_____ No__X__
