About this file

This is a Special Notice (SN) announcing an Information Session webcast for the Resilient Disruption Opportunity (DO) sponsored by DARPA's Defense Sciences Office (DSO).

The Resilient program seeks to develop a new paradigm for forecasting the long-term durability of critical concrete infrastructure by creating a Material Accelerator—a sophisticated experimental platform that subjects multiple material coupons simultaneously to precise, coupled, and accelerated stressors that drive real-world degradation. The primary goal is to rapidly generate high-fidelity data needed to develop and validate physics-informed scalability models capable of predicting long-term, site-specific structural performance. All awards will be issued as Other Transactions (OTs) for prototype projects under 10 U.S.C. § 4022 authority through the Disruptioneering Program Announcement (DARPA-PA-25-07). DARPA anticipates releasing the Resilient DO in August 2026 on SAM.gov.

The Information Session webcast will be held on August 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern time via prerecorded webcast. Advance registration is required and closes August 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. or when capacity is reached at https://events.sa-meetings.com/ResilientInformationSession/. Eligibility is limited to registered potential proposers who are U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and foreign nationals. Non-U.S. citizens must submit either DARPA Form 60 (for industry or academia) or an Official Visit Request (for foreign government personnel) through their country's Washington, DC embassy no later than August 10, 2026. Registrants may optionally submit one-page Proposer Profiles to Resilient@darpa.mil by August 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. to discover collaboration opportunities. Technical questions should be directed to Christine Sanders, Program Manager, at Resilient@darpa.mil. Viewing the Information Session is voluntary and not required to propose.

DARPA-SN-26-106 Resilient Information Session Webcast

Special Notice (SN) DARPA-SN-26-106 Resilient Disruption Opportunity (DO)

Information Session August 24, 2026

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office (DSO) is sponsoring an Information Session webcast to provide information to potential proposers on the objectives of the anticipated Resilient Disruption Opportunity (DO). The Information Session will be held via prerecorded webcast on August 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Advance registration is required to attend the webcast. All times listed in this announcement and on the registration website are Eastern time.

The goals of the Resilient DO Information Session are to (1) introduce the research community (industry, academia, and Government) to the Resilient DO vision and goals and

(2) explain the mechanics of a DARPA DO and the milestones of this particular effort.

DARPA anticipates releasing the Resilient DO in August 2026. If released, the DO will be available on SAM.gov (https://sam.gov/). After the Information Session, DARPA may post the presented materials DARPA website.

Disruption Opportunities are released as Solicitation Notices under the Disruptioneering Program Announcement (DARPA-PA-25-07) and are rapid, targeted, limited-scope investments as part of an overall balanced portfolio. The Disruptioneering Program Announcement enables DARPA to initiate a new investment in less than 120 calendar days from idea inception.1 Resilient OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION The Resilient program seeks to develop a new paradigm for forecasting the long-term durability of our critical concrete infrastructure. Current testing methods force a choice between rapid, low-fidelity lab tests and slow, high-fidelity field observations. Neither approach can adequately predict real-world outcomes because they fail to capture the synergistic complexity of environmental effects. Translating isolated, reductionist lab results to highly variable, complex field conditions is the DARPA-hard core of this challenge.

To overcome this barrier, Resilient will create a new class of Material Accelerator—a sophisticated experimental platform that subjects multiple material coupons simultaneously to the precise, coupled, and accelerated stressors that drive real-world degradation. The primary goal is to rapidly generate the high-fidelity data needed to develop and validate a new generation of physics-informed scalability models capable of predicting long-term, site-specific structural performance.

All awards resulting from the Resilient DO and issued under the Disruptioneering Program Announcement will be Other Transactions (OTs) for prototype projects awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 4022. Potential proposers are highly encouraged to review Section 7 of the Disruptioneering Program Announcement for information on who may be eligible to respond to a Disruption Opportunity. The Disruptioneering Program Announcement is available on SAM.gov under solicitation number DARPA-PA-25-07

1 For the purposes of this Special Notice, “idea inception” is defined as the date an individual Solicitation Notice (Disruption Opportunity) is posted to https://sam.gov.

https://sam.gov/ https://sam.gov/

Potential proposers may choose to share their information with other registrants via all, some, or none of the following options to discover potential collaboration opportunities:

1. Attendee List (limited distribution): Participant contact information (name, organization, email address) will be distributed to all other Resilient Information Session attendees. The registration website will ask registrants to indicate whether they approve distribution of their contact information.

2. Proposer Profile (limited distribution): Information session registrants interested in discovering collaboration opportunities for this announcement may submit a one-page profile. The proposer’s profile should include their contact information (name, organization, email, telephone number, mailing address, and, if applicable, organization website), a brief description of their technical competencies, and, if applicable, their desired expertise from other teams/organizations. All profiles must be emailed to Resilient@darpa.mil no later than 4:00 p.m. on August 17, 2026. After this deadline, the consolidated Proposer Profile will be sent via email to Information Session registrants who submitted a valid profile for distribution. Specific content, communications, networking, and team formation are the sole responsibility of the participants. Neither DARPA nor the Department of Defense (DoD) endorse the information and organizations contained in the consolidated Proposer Profile document, nor does DARPA or DoD exercise any responsibility for improper dissemination of the Proposer Profile.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

The Resilient DO Information Session will be webcast on August 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. There is no registration fee for the Information Session webcast.

Registration opens: As of the publication of this announcement.
