The amendment pertains to a statewide domestic violence contract and is specifically focused on modifying the contract's terms and conditions related to background checks for employment through the Central Registry.

The primary modifications include extending the contract term from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and comprehensively updating the background check requirements for employees, subcontractors, and volunteers who provide direct services to children or vulnerable adults. The revised section outlines detailed procedures for Central Registry Background Checks, including mandatory certification processes, disqualification criteria, and record retention requirements. Specifically, all relevant personnel must complete background checks through the Arizona Centralized Backgrounds Checks portal, maintain confidential certification files for five years after contract termination, and comply with strict guidelines regarding eligibility to provide direct services based on background check results.
