About this file

This document is a Contract Amendment issued by the Arizona Department of Economic Security (ADES) for Contract Number CTR062834, Amendment Number Seven (7), involving Verde Valley Homeless Coalition. The amendment pertains to a contract for Homeless Youth Street Outreach and Drop-in Center Services, and is specifically focused on revising the background check requirements for employment through the Central Registry.

The amendment extends the contract term from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, and comprehensively updates the background check protocols for employees, subcontractors, and volunteers who provide direct services to children or vulnerable adults. Key requirements include mandatory Central Registry Background Checks processed through the Arizona Centralized Background Checks portal, certification within the portal before employment, and maintaining confidential certification files for five years after contract termination. The amendment emphasizes that individuals with disqualifying background check results will be prohibited from providing direct services to ADES clients, with a potential option to apply for a Central Registry exception through the Board of Fingerprinting.
