About this file

This is a Cost Proposal form for Tuolumne County Department of Public Works' Traffic Signal Maintenance contract (Contract No. 1792) for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The County seeks qualified contractors to provide comprehensive traffic signal maintenance services for 17 signalized intersections across Tuolumne County and the City of Sonora. Services include routine inspections, preventative maintenance, emergency response and repairs, operational testing, troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and traffic signal activation support in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and Caltrans standards. The contract requires contractors to supply all necessary labor, vehicles, tools, equipment, facilities, supervision, and materials to ensure safe and reliable operation of traffic signal systems.

The cost proposal requires bidders to provide annual per-intersection unit pricing for the 17 signalized intersections, which will serve as the basis for bid comparison and award determination. Bidders must also submit hourly labor rates for regular time and overtime across six personnel categories: Traffic Signal Maintenance Supervisor, Traffic Signal Technician I and II, Traffic Signal Laborer, Traffic Signal Apprentice, and other designated positions. Equipment rates must be provided on an hourly basis for ten specified equipment types including pickup trucks, service trucks, bucket trucks, concrete saws, air compressors, and other specialized vehicles. Any equipment not listed will be charged per current Caltrans equipment rates. The quantities provided are estimates only and do not guarantee exact assignments; the unit price shall prevail in case of discrepancies between unit price and total amounts. Bid rejection will result from any alterations or modifications to the bid schedule sheet, with award based solely on the base bid.
