1. SunGuide, DIVAS, and Application Engineering

SunGuide and Data Integration and Video Aggregation System (DIVAS) are critical traffic operations systems that require technical and programmatic support to ensure they are successful in delivering value to the operations of the DISTRICT and the state. They are constantly undergoing change to accommodate increasing demands to integrate new data sources and application concepts and serve additional stakeholder and user needs. The following tasks will support the DISTRICT to contribute leadership in the operation and enhancement of TSM&O systems and operations.

• Advise and consult with the DISTRICT and provide expert advice on SunGuide and other TSM&O related operations systems.

• Evaluate how well SunGuide is meeting the needs of operations and provide technical support to the SunGuide operations.

• Attend and represent the DISTRICT in the SunGuide Software Users Group (SSUG), Change

DISTRICT technical leadership. Prepare discussion topics, research, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up on action items.

• Identify enhancements that would improve the operator’s experience or that would improve any other outcome of using the SunGuide software. Coordinate with stakeholders and other project teams on how enhancements and changes will be successfully implemented and integrated.

• Coordinate through the SSUG and CMB forums and the Florida Department of Transportation

(FDOT) Central Office for the enhancement to be approved and implemented.

The following tasks will launch the data initiatives sub-program within the TSM&O and AMP program:

• Develop data management plan and prepare for the future big data and decision support system.

• Facilitate a data initiatives consortium among stakeholders for mainstreaming and discovery of user needs and feedback. Start with the DISTRICT TSM&O office, then other DISTRICT offices, and then include local agency stakeholders.

o Develop data management platform technology stack, architecture, and design.

o Conduct technical reviews with the DISTRICT network engineering and operations teams.

o Oversee and support the deployment of the data management platform.

Measures (ATSPM), HERE.com data products, Connected Vehicle and other project deployments, Waze, and other data providers.

• Develop of outreach and training materials and conducting demonstration and training workshops.
