About this file

This document is a Task Work Order Amendment for a Master University Agreement between the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the University of Miami. The amendment involves Master Agreement #BEE76, specifically Task Work Order #977-02, Amendment #1, and is focused on a research project managed by the FDOT Research Center.

The research project involves the Extraction and Physio-Mechanical Testing of FRP Reinforcing Bars from 5-year-old Seawater Concrete Test Blocks on Halls River Bridge Bulkhead. The amendment extends the project timeline from the original end date to September 30, 2025, due to delays caused by the 2024 hurricane season. The project is led by Project Manager Alexander Lewis and Principal Investigator Dr. Francisco De Caso y Basalo, with a series of planned tasks including developing a project test plan, extracting test blocks, performing testing and analysis, creating recommendations for a Structures Manual, and producing a final report. The deliverables are scheduled between June 2024 and September 2025, with no changes to the project's funding noted in this amendment.
