About this file
This document is a Railroad Change Order No. 2 issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for a project involving CSX Transportation Inc. The change order is part of a master agreement originally dated August 7, 1972, between the State of Florida Department of Transportation and Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company, and relates to a specific transportation infrastructure project in Hernando County, Florida.
The change order covers preliminary engineering, construction engineering/inspection, and flagging services for a grade separation project on State Road 50/Cortez Boulevard at Ridge Manor. The project involves replacing an existing at-grade railroad crossing (625307-P) with two new grade-separated bridges (DOT# 973716P westbound and 973726V eastbound). The total estimated cost of the change order is $1,049,806.00, which will be 100% funded by the agency. The work includes removing the existing grade crossing, constructing new bridges, and performing necessary engineering and inspection services. The project is set to be completed with full crossing closure during work by Railroad Forces, with a focus on preliminary engineering, construction oversight, and safety measures.
