About this file
Summary
This document is Amendment No. 8 to the DEP Restated Agency Term Contract No. GC862, executed between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and GEO RESOURCES & ENGINEERING, INC. (GRE). The original contract was executed on March 3, 2014, to provide petroleum contamination site response action services in Florida's South Region. The amendment specifically addresses rate increases to the contractor's pricing schedule and was processed for data entry and implementation effective June 19, 2020.
Amendment No. 8 increases rates across the contract's extensive pay item schedule by up to 5 percent maximum, as authorized under contract provision 11.B. The rate changes apply exclusively to new work assignments offered on or after the Rate Change Date (June 19, 2020), while all pre-existing and previously offered work assignments continue under the prior Rate Schedule (V3.1). The revised Attachment D (V3.2) Rate Schedule encompasses over 400 pay items spanning field activities, drilling and boring, well installation and abandonment, sample collection, laboratory analysis, soil source removal, debris and waste removal, remedial action construction, system operations and maintenance, reporting, and professional services. Rate increases are applied uniformly across the schedule with minimal exceptions, affecting mobilization costs, drilling and boring services, well-related work, environmental sampling and analysis, equipment rental, system operations, and professional engineering and geology services. All other terms and conditions of the original contract remain in effect, with the amendment's provisions taking precedence in any inconsistencies.
