About this file
This is Amendment No. 16 to Agency Term Contract No. GC734 between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and APEX COMPANIES, LLC. The contract, originally executed on February 28, 2014, provides petroleum contamination site response action services in the Central Region of Florida. This amendment exclusively modifies the rate schedule without adding, deleting, or otherwise altering any line items contained in the original contract.
The amendment implements a 5 percent maximum rate increase across the contract's pay items, effective for new work assignments issued on or after June 10, 2024. The rate increase applies only to prospective work assignments; all pre-existing and previously offered work assignments continue under their prior rate schedules. The updated Attachment D (Rate Schedule V3.6) reflects the new rates for services spanning site assessment, drilling and boring operations, well installation and abandonment, environmental sampling and analysis, excavation, soil and groundwater treatment systems, remedial action plans, and professional services including engineering and geological oversight. The increases were requested by the contractor, supported by detailed justification, reviewed and approved by the Department, and confirmed to remain within the maximum 5 percent increase allowed under contract provision 11.B.ii. The Department provided data processing confirmation on June 10, 2024, establishing the official Rate Change Date, with the contractor to receive notice within five business days.
