About this file
This document is Amendment No. 2 to DEP Contract No. GC724, a contract between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Rare Earth Sciences, Inc. d/b/a HSA Engineers & Scientists. The contract was originally executed on October 6, 2009, and previously amended on March 15, 2010. The amendment was executed on April 30, 2012, and approved by the FDEP Contract Manager Grant Willis and the DEP Contracts Administrator. The contract involves services related to environmental protection and petroleum storage systems management.
Amendment No. 2 makes two primary modifications to the existing contract. First, it replaces PEL Laboratories with Spectrum Analytical, Inc. as an authorized subcontractor. Second, it adds new contractual language requiring the Contractor to utilize the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system to verify employment eligibility for all new employees hired during the contract term. This E-Verify requirement is mandated by Florida Executive Orders Nos. 11-02 and 11-116 and must also be included in all related subcontracts for work or services performed under the agreement. All other terms and conditions of the original contract and prior amendments remain in full force and effect.
