Subtask 4a: Data Collection and Redistribution of Park‐Related Trips

Description: The project team, George & Associates (G&A) and Columbia Engineering & Services (CES) will review existing traffic volumes, including park‐related trips and background traffic. This will be obtained by conducting eight‐hour turning movement counts at the existing US 19 access points and at the US 19 / Northcliffe Blvd intersection. The counts will be conducted in peak season on both a weekday and a Saturday (target dates are mid‐June 2024). Bicycles and pedestrians will be included in the counts.

Trips entering and exiting the park during peak hours will be redistributed to reflect the future use of the new access at US 19 / Northcliffe Blvd. Eight‐hour turning movement count printouts for the two intersections will be provided for weekday and Saturday, including all vehicles, trucks, bicycles and pedestrians. Printouts will be provided and will include peak hour summaries. A figure will be provided showing weekday and Saturday peak hour volumes with park‐related trips redistributed to the new access point.

Deliverable:
