The document outlines a comprehensive range of professional engineering services including project-specific proposals, assessments, inspections, evaluation and design of erosion and sedimentation control plans. Services encompass design and modification of systems such as storm sewer systems, pump stations, detention and retention basins, control structures, stream restoration, and embankments. The scope also includes hydrology and hydraulic analysis, site investigations, soil and water quality sampling, cost estimations, sustainability analyses, existing condition documentation, design and construction documentation, construction administration, and post-construction services.

Instead, it serves as a detailed service category description that enables potential contractors to understand the full breadth of engineering services the City of Pittsburgh may require under this professional services contract. The services are broadly defined to allow flexibility in addressing various civil and environmental engineering needs, suggesting an open-ended contract approach that can adapt to different project requirements across infrastructure and environmental management domains.
