About this file

This is a certification document issued by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) that establishes conflict-of-interest requirements for contractors and consultants on the On Call Milling project in Cherokee County. The certification, dated September 9, 2020, requires the contractor or consultant to certify compliance with Section 57-1-350(G) of the South Carolina Code of Laws regarding SCDOT Commissioner conflicts of interest. The document specifies that no member of the SCDOT Commission may hold a direct or indirect interest in the proposal, bid, or any resulting contract, franchise, privilege, or benefit related to the project during their term of appointment and for one year following termination. The contractor, along with all consultants, subconsultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers, employees, and agents, must comply with these provisions throughout the procurement process and the entire contract period.

The certification requires an authorized representative of the contractor or consultant to execute the document by providing a signature, printed name, date, and title. This certification serves as a condition precedent to contract execution and represents an ongoing obligation binding the contractor throughout the contract term.
