About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document from the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) regarding Invitation for Bid (IFB) C161862-RR for the Albany Training Academy Firing Range. DOCCS is seeking a contractor to design, construct, and operate a firing range facility for use by Training Academy employees for initial qualifications, pre-qualifications, and annual re-qualifications of personnel. The document addresses procurement-related inquiries, specifically clarifying the scope of work and subcontracting arrangements for the project.

The Q&A document clarifies that classroom furniture and other components may be sourced through subcontractors separate from the primary range facility provider, or furnished directly by the awarded contractor as part of a complete integrated solution. The decision regarding subcontracting arrangements is at the discretion of the awarded vendor, with any approved subcontractors to be added to DOCCS' subcontractors solicitation list. No previous identical or substantially similar contracts have been awarded within the past five years. The procurement includes no set-aside goals for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses, Minority-Owned Businesses, Women-Owned Businesses, or Disadvantaged Businesses, with all goals set at 0.00%.

1 Could you please clarify whether this classroom furniture may be sourced or supplied by a subcontractor separate from the range facility provider, or whether it must be furnished directly by the awarded Contractor as part of the complete range solution?
