About this file
This document contains a justification for other than full and open competition and a related solicitation for winter warfare gear. The justification requests approval for a sole source contract award to purchase winter warfare loadout equipment for Naval Special Warfare Group Two, including artic sleeping bags, tents, clothing, boots, snowshoes, avalanche equipment, climbing gear, skis, and related accessories. The total estimated contract value is unspecified. As the requiring activity has validated certain brand name items as safest for training, the solicitation will consider those brands or equal alternatives that meet the salient characteristics in the product descriptions. The combined synopsis and solicitation is designated as a small business set-aside and will be posted on SAM.gov, with proposals due by an unspecified date. The Naval Special Warfare Command will award a firm fixed price contract to provide this winter warfare gear.
