It was discovered that lead paint was present on a COP Historic property and harsh weather conditions contributed to select areas of flaking exterior paint. CRS was brought in to assess the amount of flaking that had occurred and develop a protocol to not only perform cleanup but also provide stabilization measures to effectively eliminate any further flaking. The impacted area was assessed in which a CRS lead certified crew regulated the area and thoroughly picked up paint chips via hand removal and HEPA vacuuming. The particulates were then properly containerized for appropriate disposal. Furthermore, CRS applied an approved encapsulating material to the surfaces prone to flaking thereby eliminating the potential for additional fall out.

This project was small in scale but a priority by the City of Phoenix to move on a fast track / emergency basis.
