The City has a fleet of 4 enforcement vehicles utilizing LPR technology with Genetec LPR Cameras through Route 1.

Citation Lifecycle Customers have 10 days to pay or appeal a parking citation. If the citation is paid within 10 days, no late fee is applied, and the citation is closed. All appeals must be made online and they are currently appealed through our current citation system. If the citation is appealed within 10 days, the fine is frozen until a response to the appeal is made. A response to the appeal will typically be made withing three weeks of the appeal date. If the appealed citation is waived, the customer will be notified by email, and the citation will be closed. If the citation is upheld, the customer will be notified by email. The 10-day payment requirement restarted. Customers must then pay the fine to close the citation. If the citation is not paid the $10 late fee will be added to the citation.

A courtesy letter of the unpaid citations is sent every Friday. (Currently under our policy we don’t send it to a collection agency, but it could change in the future days. We would like to send at least two (2) courtesy letters attaching them to the license plate number/owner account). The software must have an option for customers to appeal citations through the online portal.
