Lake Size 1.17 Acres
Estimated Material Depth Approximately 3.5 feet
1. Introduction and Purpose
Riverdale Knolls Golf Course is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified contractors to perform sediment dredging of its on-site irrigation lake, known as The Knolls Lake. 2. Scope of Work
The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to complete the following scope of work:
2.1 De-watering
• The contractor shall be responsible for de-watering the irrigation lake prior to and throughout dredging operations.
• A de-watering plan must be submitted with the proposal, including proposed methods and discharge/containment strategies.
• All de-watering activities must comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including any stormwater or NPDES permit requirements.
• In addition, a pipe fusing will be needed to obtain well water feeding into the lake approximately 50 feet away for winter watering.
2.2 Sediment Removal (Dredging)
• The lake surface area is approximately 1.17 acres.
• Approximately 3.5 feet of accumulated sediment material is to be removed from the lake bottom.
• Estimated total dredge volume is approximately 6,500–7,000 cubic yards (contractor to verify and confirm volume estimate as part of proposal).

2.3 Material Stockpiling
• All excavated material shall be stockpiled on-site in a designated area near the lake, as coordinated with the Golf Course Superintendent.
• The stockpile area must be contained to prevent sediment migration onto turf or into drainage features.
• Contractor is responsible for appropriate erosion control measures (e.g., silt fence, berms) around the stockpile area.
• Dredged material will remain on-site; off-site disposal is not required unless otherwise directed.
2.4 Site Restoration
• Upon project completion, the stockpile area and any disturbed ground shall be graded and leveled to a smooth finish suitable for mowing and maintenance access.
• All disturbed areas shall be overseeded with an appropriate native grass seed mix, as approved by the Golf Course Superintendent.
• Contractor shall provide the proposed seed mix species and application rates within the proposal.
• Seeded areas shall be stabilized with appropriate erosion control measures (e.g., erosion control blanket, tackifier, or straw mulch) as applicable.
2.5 Turf Protection
• Large equipment access to the lake area is constrained by existing golf course turf and infrastructure. The contractor must provide and install rubber track pads, timber mats, or equivalent protective measures on all haul and access routes across maintained turf areas.
• Contractor is responsible for any turf damage caused by operations and shall repair damaged areas to a condition equal to or better than pre-project conditions at no additional cost to the Golf Course.
