2023 TWIN FALLS SAGEBRUSH SEEDINGS TOTAL – ALL OR NONE

Estimated Period of Performance: 1/18/23 through 2/10/2023
Performance Time: 14 working days
Total Estimated Acres: 36,969

This contract shall be initiated after sagebrush seed is received and tested by the Government. This may be the middle of January 2023. Due to the possibility of a shortage of available sagebrush seed, rates may be lower to much lower than the requested rate.

Sagebrush seed is extremely fluffy and Forage Kochia seed is very light. Both may require special equipment to seed. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to assure that the seeding equipment has suitable agitation and feeder mechanisms to evenly distribute the seed at the specified rate without damaging the seed.

Some line items for seeding have different varieties of seed, therefore, the seeding pattern (swath width) cannot exceed the expectation of the variety that will be the narrowest broadcast pattern. Example: If sagebrush seed is expected to be broadcast at 100 feet and yarrow seed is expected to be broadcast at 70 feet, the overall swath width shall be 70 feet.
