This is the replacement of Siren #1 (DB-6) that is located at 2602 Danbury Dr – Pepper Ridge Elementary School Parcel # 21-18-452-012 and Siren #15 (BB-
2) that is located at 614 IAA Dr Parcel #14-35-377-017. The specific location where the siren is to be installed shall be adjusted based on actual JULIE field utility locations and as approved by the City of Bloomington. The project includes all necessary electrical equipment, hardware for installation, concrete pad, pole, and parts to make the siren complete and operational. Power service will come from the existing electrical service for the current siren at this location which is mounted on the existing wood pole.
1.02 The bid includes the removal of the old siren.
The City retains all salvage rights for the portions or pieces not used in the new siren installation. All parts not used in the new siren shall be returned to the City of Bloomington as directed by staff. Any parts which are not fit for salvage shall be properly and legally disposed of by the contractor.
2. Time of Completion
2.01 Work under this contract shall be completed by April 30, 2027.
2.02 It is agreed that for each and every calendar day that elapses between the completion date and the date on which the work is actually completed, the contractor shall pay to the City of Bloomington as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00).
3. Payment
3.01 Payment shall be made to the contractor as one single payment, in full, when the project is complete and all work is accepted. The contractor shall submit the equipment warranty and waivers of lien from any subcontractors or suppliers before final payment is made.
