About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget Printing Services for Request for Quote #26*0343. The project involves the production of BDVR-ENV-7 Renewal by Mail Tab Envelopes with a quantity of 7,500 units. The notice does not specify response deadlines, due dates, site visits, or bidders' conferences. The recommended vendor, THE ENVELOPE PRINTERY, was selected as the award recipient based on best value evaluation criteria. Protests of the award must be submitted electronically through the Vendor Self Service portal no later than the posted deadline on the Notice of Intent to Award. The actual award will be issued by Printing Services after an order is received and the final decision is made to issue the project to the recommended vendor.
Three bidders submitted quotes for this project: FORMS PLUS at $1,275.00 with a 30-day turnaround, IMAGE PRINTING at $1,298.80 with an 18-day turnaround, and THE ENVELOPE PRINTERY at $1,320.00 with a 7-day turnaround. THE ENVELOPE PRINTERY was recommended despite having the highest bid price, as the award decision was based on best value combining evaluation criteria factors and price, with turnaround time being a significant consideration. All bidders demonstrated experience with printed materials in Michigan and the ability to meet the project requirements. Printing Services reserves the right to perform the work in-house if elected. Questions regarding the project should be directed to print consultant Kristin Bergan, and inquiries about the outsource process should be directed to Andrew Hale, Departmental Technician.
