About this file
This document outlines salient characteristics for a mechanical wiper system and control module solicited by the Department of the Interior US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants. Specifically, it requests six mechanical wipers that can interface with a Fluoroprobe III sensor system to clean optical windows, be controlled by a data collection platform, have an adjustable wipe angle, operate from a 12VDC power source, synchronize wipes with sensor measurements, have a depth rating of 200m, include a 6-pin wet-mateable connector, protect against damage from bumped arms, and automatically reset bumped arms. Additionally, it requests four control modules compatible with the wiper system, consisting of a microprocessor interface to manage wipes, a wiring panel to connect to power and data collection, adjustable wiper angle control, and an LED operational indicator.
