About this file

This document outlines salient characteristics for a mechanical wiper system and control module solicitation by the Department of the Interior US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants. The solicitation seeks proposals for six mechanical wiper systems and four control modules to interface with a sensor system for cleaning optical windows. The wiper systems must have adjustable wipe angles, depth ratings over 100 meters, wet-mateable connectors, and automatic reset of bumped wiper arms. The control modules must be compatible with the wiper systems, manage wipe operations from connected power supplies and data loggers, and include wipe angle controls and status indicators.

The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 140G0123Q0293 for hydro-wipers and control modules meeting the outlined salient characteristics. Proposals are due to the Department of the Interior US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants, which will administer the contract award.
