About this file
This document is Amendment #1 to Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) Bid 26-425DJJ-SCHDI-B-51647 for student tables at the Illinois Youth Center (IYC) Lincoln facility. It consists of vendor questions and answers addressing clarifications on the procurement requirements during the solicitation process.
The primary modification addressed in this amendment concerns the assembly and installation services for the student tables. A vendor inquired whether IDJJ required white glove delivery service, which would include transporting tables into the facility and assembling tabletops to bases with fasteners, or alternatively whether delivery to the loading dock with internal assembly by facility staff would be acceptable. IDJJ clarified in its response that assembly and installation services have been removed from the contract requirements, placing the responsibility for assembly on the buyer rather than the vendor. The amendment also documents that specifications and photographs of existing tables were provided to vendors to ensure accurate bidding on replacement or comparable equipment.

Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice Bid 26-425DJJ-SCHDI-B-51647 – IDJJ School District Student Tables at IYC Lincoln Amendment #1 – Vendor Questions and Answers
1.) I am confirming if you would like White Glove service to bring the tables inside of the center and assemble the tabletops to the base with a few screws? Or, will you accept the delivery to your loading dock and have the chief engineer attach the table tops to the base with a few screws? Assembly is quite minimal. I am inquiring about your flexibility as White Glove service will be incur additional costs that are not nominal. Answer: IDJJ decided to remove the assembly and installation of the tables.
2.) I kindly request a specification sheet or a photograph of the existing table.
Answer: Please see below.
