About this file

This document is a State of California bid specification for Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), specifically identified as specification 6380-5973 dated January 22, 1968. The specification is an attachment to a state contract, focusing on establishing minimum requirements and technical standards for LPG procurement and delivery within California state agencies.

The specification outlines comprehensive technical requirements for LPG, including regulatory compliance with California Code of Regulations, storage stability, and quality assurance provisions. Key contractor obligations include providing traceability to the refinery source within five days of request, ensuring transportation vehicles are clean and uncontaminated prior to loading, and supplying Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) with each delivery. The state reserves the right to independently test LPG quality and requires the contractor to replace non-compliant product at no cost. While specific pricing terms are not detailed in this document, the specification establishes strict technical and safety standards for LPG procurement by California state entities.
