About this file

This is a Special Conditions document for an RFx procurement (RFx No. 3000026544) issued for a September 2026 Meat and Cheese contract by the Department of Corrections. The document establishes detailed specifications for chicken leg quarters, livers, and gizzards (RFx Line Numbers 1 and 31). Products must be sourced from disease-free chickens in prime condition, solidly frozen at the time of delivery with no evidence of defrosting or refreezing. Chicken products must be blast frozen upon delivery, with individual ice pack parts not exceeding 10 degrees Fahrenheit upon arrival at the delivery point.

Delivery and packaging requirements specify that products must be packed in plastic-lined boxes and delivered palletized on standard 40" x 48" non-returnable pallets. Each box must be secured with monofilament tape or plastic banding applied girth-wise, with the packing date clearly marked on the upper right-hand corner of each box. These specifications ensure product quality and food safety compliance for the delivery of poultry products to the state facility.
