About this file
This file is the 2022-23 basketball schedule for Winthrop University's athletic program, which appears to be relevant to the state contract opportunity for Athletic Training Services at Winthrop University. The schedule details 29 regular season games plus the Big South Tournament, with games running from November 7, 2022 through March 5, 2023. The schedule includes both home games in Rock Hill, S.C. and away games across multiple states including Florida, North Carolina, West Virginia, Georgia, and Virginia. The schedule features 18 Big South Conference games, participation in the Hatter Classic in DeLand, Florida, and concludes with the Big South Tournament in Charlotte, NC at the Bojangles Coliseum.
This schedule demonstrates the scope of athletic training services needed for the basketball program, which is one of the 17 teams mentioned in the contract opportunity. Game times range from morning (10:00 AM) to evening (7:00 PM), requiring flexible coverage from athletic training staff. The schedule includes both weekday and weekend games, highlighting the need for comprehensive athletic training coverage throughout the week. The geographic spread of games across multiple states also indicates the need for athletic trainers to travel with the team and provide services at various locations.
