About this file
This file is a 2022-23 basketball schedule for Winthrop University's athletic program, containing detailed game information relevant to the athletic training services contract opportunity. The schedule outlines 31 regular season games plus the Big South Conference Tournament, with home games in Rock Hill, S.C., and away games across multiple states including Pennsylvania, Alabama, Georgia, Mexico, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Virginia. The season runs from November 7, 2022, through March 5, 2023, with games typically scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays, including participation in the Cancun Challenge tournament in Mexico and 18 Big South Conference games.
The schedule demonstrates the scope of athletic training services needed, showing multiple games per week requiring medical coverage, including both home and away contests. Home games are highlighted in bold, indicating where on-site athletic training services would be primarily needed at Winthrop's facilities. The schedule includes the dates, times, and locations for all games, with some times listed as TBA (To Be Announced), suggesting flexibility would be required in the athletic training coverage. This document helps illustrate the scheduling demands that would need to be met by the athletic training services provider under the proposed contract.
