About this file

This is a certification document issued by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) addressing conflict of interest provisions for contractors and consultants on the On-Call Sidewalk Repair project in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The certification, dated September 9, 2020, requires contractors and consultants to comply with Section 57-1-350(G) of the South Carolina Code of Laws, which prohibits SCDOT Commission members from having direct or indirect financial interests in any proposals, bids, contracts, franchises, privileges, or benefits related to the project during their term of appointment and for one year following termination of their appointment.

The contractor or consultant must certify compliance with these conflict of interest provisions as a condition precedent to contract execution and maintain ongoing compliance throughout the contract period. The certification obligates not only the primary contractor or consultant but also all subcontractors, sub-consultants, vendors, suppliers, employees, and agents to adhere to the stated provisions. The document requires an authorized representative's signature, printed name, date, and title to validate the certification.
