About this file
This document is a Sample Case File Questionnaire provided as an attachment for a federal contract opportunity to perform investigations of discrimination complaints and prepare Reports of Investigations for the United States Postal Service (USPS) National Equal Employment Opportunity Investigative Services Office.
The questionnaire is designed to assess the investigatory writing skills of prospective contractors. It instructs the respondent to read through a Sample EEO Case File, including an EEO Basics Packet and a Sample Case, and then answer a series of 21 detailed questions about the case file. The questions cover topics such as identifying key dates, complainant and management information, theories and bases of discrimination, summarizing the complainant's and management's versions of events, non-discriminatory business reasons, comparators, relevant exhibits, and requested remedies. The respondent is required to provide narrative responses to each question based on the information provided in the sample case file.
