Introduction
The P2 revision of the Builder Specification is released for review and comment. This version is a preliminary, consolidated release of ARV construction requirements for review with significant refinement of requirements and document structure performed since the P1 release of this specification.
This document is compiled from a list of requirements developed in Cameo and exported from the Cameo model using an in-built report template. The report template in Cameo allows content updates to be made quickly and offers traceability to the parent PSPEC requirements where applicable.
This specification has been developed to define the technical definition of the ARV, but is subject to modification based on the vessel’s integrator shipyard acquisition strategy, particularly as it relates to Section 000 and integrated vendors.
Major updates since the P1 version are as follows:
Design team refinement of requirements added based on reviews of the NOAA B and Agor specifications to ensure alignment with the ARV design.
Update Builder Spec requirements based on any approved PSPEC Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s).
Refinement of specification SWBS placement of system requirements.
Appendix A: Science Mission Systems development to ensure Science Mission System requirements are well defined and correctly allocated in the specification.
Mapping of table contents to PSPEC tables and identification of where additional tables are required.
Review of reference list and added references and standards where required.
Work remaining on this document is summarized below:
Further requirement refinement and additions via design team and reading session review (including capture of any new ECR’s).
Further refinement of specification SWBS groups and placement of system requirements.
Review of final formatting of requirement text, figures, and tables for final version.
Development of content for remaining tables – mainly in SWBS600 and Appendix B.
NSF input on owner requirements regarding aesthetics, painting requirements and other items not captured by regulatory requirements and standards and existing P2 version requirement text.
Further review and refinement of Appendix A: Science Mission Systems.
Appendix B: Test and Trials will be developed in future revisions. It is included in draft state only for this release.
Appendix C: Piping Appendix. Further development planned to define piping requirements alongside drawing content (as required).
