About this file

This document is a solicitation for the purchase of two custom research hot-cells and an electrical cabinet. The National Institute of Mental Health is seeking the construction and delivery of two hot-cells measuring approximately 1200 x 820 x 744 mm internally and 1552 x 1214 x 2650 mm externally, as well as an electrical cabinet no larger than 800 x 400 x 1800 mm. The hot-cells must allow for rear and front entry, internal lighting and shelving, gas and electrical connections, and be shipped partially disassembled for on-site reassembly. The vendor will inspect prototypes at their factory, deliver the constructed items by Fall 2020, and arrange temporary storage if installation is delayed. Responses are due by May 25th, 2020 and the contract will be awarded on a firm fixed-price basis to the offer determined most advantageous by evaluating price, technical criteria, and past performance.

The selected vendor must also provide installation services, including transporting materials on-site while avoiding damage or contamination. They must use qualified contractors and obtain all required safety certifications. The delivery location is Building 10 at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
