STATEMENT OF WORK
DEMOLISH AND REPLACE AIR HANDLERS Bldg 1470 21 May 21
1. Description of Services: Renovate four Air Handlers at Building 1470
2. Task
2.1. Isolate cold and hot water coils using existing valves and remove associated piping out of the way of the fan section.
2.2. Set aside chilled water pumps, three-way valves, and sensors.
2.3. Remove fan assemblies from all four air handlers.
2.4. Rebuild fans with new fan wheels, bearings, custom machined fan shafts, 3hp motors, new pulleys, new belts.
2.5. Reinstall fan assemblies into the four air handlers.
2.6. Align pulleys, wire motors, and restore AHU systems to normal operation.
2.7. Reconnect pipes moved in previous steps.
2.8. Reconnect pumps, three-way control valves, and sensors.
2.9. Re-insulate pipes that were stripped in the removal processes.
2.10 Bring units back on line and check for normal operation.

Fan Speed 1600RPM Max CFM 14,350 or 10,850 Nom. Drive End Diameter/sheave bore 1-7/16" Opposite Drive end Diameter 1-3/16" Fan Shaft Length 99" Nominal Diam. fan wheel bore 4" 2 Fan wheels Fan wheel diam. 15" Fan wheel length 15" 51 Fan Blades
3.2. Contractor shall provide a parts and labor warranty of one year.
3.3. Contractor shall provide a parts and labor Warranty directly from the manufacturer.
3.4. All work shall be coordinated with Facility Manager, CO and the HVAC shop with a minimum of 14 days in advance to start of work. Work inside rooms will be left clean with all debris and trash hauled off site. Contractor will remove/dispose of all old parts and associated equipment no longer required within mechanical room. Outside work areas will be left clean at the end of every day to prevent trash and debris from blowing off the work site. Contractor will bleed all excess air from the HVAC system prior to turning over to the shop.
4. Security Requirements: The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary passes, decals, or other items required for access to Peterson AFB. The HVAC section will assist as required.
