About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a yearly maintenance and support service plan for a Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) for the USDA Agricultural Research Service. The primary objective is to provide a Unity Lab Services Essential Service Plan for a fully automated Mass Spectrometer compatible with a Thermo Scientific Trace 1310 Gas Chromatograph, with the instrument to be used for identifying and quantifying insect pheromones, plant volatile organic compounds, and herbivore-induced volatiles.

The contract includes a base year from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026, with four additional one-year option periods through August 31, 2030. Key service requirements include one annual preventive maintenance visit, labor and parts for corrective maintenance, timely technical support, software and firmware updates, system diagnostics, and the use of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. The deliverable must be submitted within 30 days of order receipt, and the service plan must meet the laboratory instrument specifications outlined in the document.
