Product Specifications and Salient Characteristics
1. Universal Wheel Build Up Stand
• A hydraulic-assisted full service (assembly, disassembly, selective bead breaking) platform for aircraft wheels of any size or type. This versatile tool enables a single operator to safely complete wheel and tire teardown and build up procedures. Wheel-specific adapters for the KC-135 should allow the base unit to quickly transition between different wheels.
2. Wheel Adapter
• Quick-change (slide and lock) adapters which support both assembly and disassembly of bolted rim halves.
3. Aircraft Wheel Torque System
• A computer-controlled twin-spindle nut runner which enables an operator to achieve highly precise and repeatable pre-torque, final torque, and torque angle requirements. Torque sequences are preloaded and can quickly be selected/changed via a touchscreen dropdown menu. The system can also be used for loosening nuts during wheel disassembly. Additional spindles in varying sizes will need to be available.
4. Secondary Gantry & Hoist
• Adds a pneumatic or electric secondary gantry for lifting wheel halves, up to 250 LBS.
5. Wheel Lifting Fixture
• For lifting wheels
6. Installation of Equipment
• Vendor shall perform all required installation work, to include minor facility repair work, to properly install the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.
• After installation is complete, the vendor shall perform a startup of the equipment and ensure proper operation of the new equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements
6. On-site Start-Up & Training
• On-site training shall be provided by one (1) field service engineer for verification that equipment has been properly installed, to perform initial equipment power-up and functional checks, and to provide basic operation, maintenance, and calibration training.
7. Documentation
• Includes one (1) hard copy and one (1) digital copy of Instruction, Operation, and Service Manual and one (1) digital copy of Commercial Literature.
8. Lifetime Phone / Email Customer Support
• Responsive, attentive customer service that extends well beyond the warranty period.
