About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for an access control and door hardware upgrade project designed to enhance building security and modernize access control infrastructure. The contractor shall remove and dispose of sixteen existing crash bars and install sixteen new stainless steel crash bars on designated doors, ensuring proper alignment, lubrication, and functionality testing. Additionally, the contractor must install approximately 17,000 feet of Category 6 (CAT 6) network cabling to service the sixteen doors, with all wiring neatly managed, secured with appropriate wire hangers, and terminated at both door and head-end locations. The contractor shall also install five new Paxton keypads at specified locations with dedicated power sources for each unit and integrate them with the existing access control system.

All necessary materials, equipment, and consumables shall be provided by the contractor, including sixteen stainless steel crash bars, 17,000 feet of CAT 6 wiring, five Paxton keypads with associated power sources, and all lubricants, springs, pins, fasteners, connectors, and wire hangers. Project deliverables include removal of old crash bars, installation and successful function testing of new crash bars, completed installation and termination of CAT 6 cabling, installation and successful function testing of Paxton keypads, and a clean work area with all project-related debris removed. Acceptance criteria require visual inspection and successful operational testing of all sixteen installed crash bars, successful data connectivity testing of all newly installed CAT 6 cables, and demonstration of proper functioning of all five installed Paxton keypads.
