FUME HOOD PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
Furnish all labor, supplies, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and supervision necessary for testing and certifying fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, and clean benches.
LOCATION 3810 4th Street, Lubbock, TX 79415
Perform the following certification tests:
Sigma Systems Fume Hood (26) Manufacturer & CETA Certification
1. Smoke Pattern Tests
a) Inflow at Front Access
b) Reflux/Back streaming
c) External Turbulence
2. Airflow Analysis
3. Ground Polarity and Airflow Alarm
4. Equipment Calibration with thermos-anemometer
Nuaire & Envirco Class II Bio Type A2/B3 Safety Cabinet (5) Manufacturer & NSF Standard #49, Field Tests
1. Airflow Analysis
2. Airflow Velocity Uniformity Test
3. HEPA Filter Leak Test with a minimum of 10 micrograms/liter challenge
4. Smoke Intrusion & Pattern Test
5. Sash Alarm Test
6. Pressure Gauge Test
7. Noise Emissions Test
8. Ground Circuit Polarity Test
9. Dynamic Operation Test per ISO Class 5/USP 797 Compliance
Nuaire Class 5 Clean Benches (5) Manufacturer Certification
1. Airflow Velocity Uniformity Test
2. Airflow Analysis
3. HEPA Filter Leak Test measuring micrograms/liter performed at a rate of
10 LFPM on the supply side.
4. Smoke Intrusion Test
5. Prefilter Tests
6. Light Intensity Test
7. Noise Emissions Test
8. Pressure Gauge Test
These certification tests will be conducted on an annual basis, with completion occurring no later than December 31 of each calendar year.
Contractor will provide written documentation of Liability Insurance and Worker’s Compensation.
