About this file
This is a supporting attachment document for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's stormwater control measures maintenance contract opportunity in Philadelphia County. The attachment specifies licensing and certification requirements for pesticide application work that may be necessary during routine maintenance of Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs) in District 6-0. The document establishes that any contractor or personnel performing pesticide-related activities must possess a valid Pennsylvania Pesticide Business License and, where applicable, a Certified Applicator License. These licenses serve as mandatory qualifications to ensure compliance with state regulations governing pesticide use and environmental protection standards applicable to stormwater management operations.
The licensing requirements outlined in this attachment are prerequisite qualifications that bidders must verify their ability to meet or ensure through their workforce. Contractors should confirm that their organization holds the necessary pesticide business license and that any personnel assigned to pesticide application tasks maintain current certified applicator credentials prior to contract award and commencement of work. This licensing documentation may need to be submitted with bid proposals or made available for verification during the contract administration phase to demonstrate compliance with Pennsylvania's pesticide regulatory framework.
