Statement of Work

737 TRG, JBSA-Lackland, Texas

CONTINUOUS INFECTIOUS MICROBIAL REDUCTION

(CIMR)

AIR PURIFIERS

8 January 2021

1.0 Mission Purpose: 737 TRG seeks to acquire portable counter COVID-19 air systems for Basic

Military Training (BMT) that will help protect people against aerosolized or vaporized pathogens.

The devices will provide an additional viral transmission mitigation solution in addition to the CDC guidance of face masks, hand washing, social distancing, and general cleaning in order to limit the rate of illness cases caused by COVID-19 and other viral infections such as the common cold and flu. These devices will help reduce the chances of COVID-19 transmission that has adversely interfered with the operational training mission of BMT. These systems are needed as soon as possible and will be required as long as the pandemic is a reality.

2.0 Background: The 737 TRG has changed the format of BMT greatly to include a two-week flight isolation period upon trainee in-processing and have limited the cross-interaction between other flights during the 8-week training program. Air University and 42 ABW acquired and fielded devices with the same Continuous Infectious Microbial Reduction (CIMR) technology throughout Maxwell-Gunter AFB to minimize COVID-19 transmissions and achieve the same intended effect of resuming the AETC training mission. Previous contracts for the same or similar products were awarded: FA3300-20-D-0005, FA3300-20-P-0033, and FA3300-20-P-0038.
