About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for the State of Michigan describing an as-needed emergency repair contract for storm drain and sanitary sewer infrastructure. The work encompasses emergency repairs to underground storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems, including sewer leads, sewer mains, manholes, and catch basins using open cut excavation methods. For sewer taps, contractors must abandon existing connections by cutting and capping before installing new taps into the sewer main. Critical to this contract, the contractor must respond to emergency repair sites within two hours for an emergency planning meeting with the City Designate to review the required scope of work. Following this meeting, the contractor shall assemble workers, equipment, and supplies and commence work as expeditiously as possible, with a minimum capability to begin excavation within four days of the planning meeting. The work includes removal and replacement of existing surfaces, excavation with loading and transportation of materials, repair of existing storm and sanitary pipes, backfill operations as specified, and cleanup of work sites. The contractor is responsible for supplying all underground storm sewer and sanitary sewer materials necessary for repairs and shall provide all labor, transportation, tools, equipment, and services required for the various repairs on an as-needed basis.
No specific pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, or funding sources are detailed in the provided Scope of Work document. The contract operates on an as-needed emergency basis, indicating that work will be initiated reactively rather than on a predetermined schedule. No set-asides, incumbent information, or renewal options are specified in this document.
