5.2.1.4. Method of Approach:
The Offeror shall prepare and submit a written narrative describing the method of approach that the Medical Director or Medical Provider of a Health Care System will use to provide the services outlined in the Scope of Work:
Medical Directors and Clinical Practice Managers: Your medical directors will receive training that has been designed specifically for each market. As part of their CME, your medical directors will also be incented to pursue additional training through the AMDA Medical Director Certification program. This investment in training positions each medical director to partner with the clinical practice manager to oversee practice operations and collaborate with ADVS leadership to achieve agreed-upon objectives. Your clinical practice manager will also ensure your facilities receive focused support in areas such as clinician staffing and recruiting, practice management and administration, analytics and reporting and monthly meetings. Your assigned clinical practice manager will also stay in regular communication with all members of the TeamHealth management team to ensure awareness of what is happening at your facilities—sharing success stories and any areas in need of improvement.
Attending Physicians: We will deploy the optimal number of physicians to support the clinical needs of the practice. Our base program would begin with a mix of primary care trained physicians and APCs (Advanced Practice Clinicians) to support the volume at each facility. Our program mix and schedule will depend on allocated volume. In all cases, we will deploy these clinicians to meet our “scheduled presence” model where we will provide a schedule of when our clinicians will be on site so your patients and staff will have regular contact that is predictable and provides prompt attention.
Ancillary Physicians Ancillary physician support will be determined based upon each facility’s unique, specific needs.
We realize each program will have unique needs. Given our broad experience and exceptional recruiting team, we are confident we can recruit and maintain ancillary physicians as needed at each site.
Physician Extenders (Advanced Practice Clinicians-APCs): Our physicians have actively participated in the development and administration of advanced practice education programs, rotations, and preceptorships at many of our client locations, and with our clients’ consent, we encourage the use of APCs wherever we feel their use is appropriate. We have no preference between PAs and NPs, and we work to educate all members of the healthcare team about the valuable contributions APCs provide to quality care and cost-containment while enabling us to maintain our standards in quality patient care. Naturally, applicable state laws (including those regarding physician supervision) and our clients’ preferences ultimately determine our use APCs in any given facility.
Coupled with our physician services, we offer virtual telehealth as an extended resource.
