About this file
This specification document outlines requirements for replacing cable tray support systems in a Defense Information Systems Agency computer room facility. The project requires installing a new braced overhead suspension system to hang IT cable trays from the interior roof structure above server racks. The specification provides detailed technical requirements for the new wire basket cable trays, accessories, and supports. Acceptable materials include hot-dip galvanized or zinc-nickel coated steel. All components must be manufactured by the same supplier and certified for equipotential bonding without a separate grounding conductor. The document also establishes quality control, delivery, testing, inspection, warranty and installation standards that offer robust protection and manageability for critical communication cables over an extended service life.
