About this file
This is an Information Security Standard Brief appendix for the New York State Education Department (ESD) Screen Academy Curriculum RFP. The document establishes mandatory security standards and guidelines applicable to all engagements with ESD that involve data or IT components. All partners, contractors, vendors, and suppliers must comply with ISO Standards 27001, 27005, and 27035 for protection of ESD's network, data, and information systems, with documented monitoring processes in place to verify third-party compliance. Additionally, vendors must comply with GDPR standards for data collection and protection, adhere to NYS and Federal Cyber Security and Information Security Policies and Laws, document all third-party access to ESD data or information systems, and manage information communications to maintain data security. Vendors are required to provide Identity Access Management capabilities including authentication and transaction auditing where applicable, and must furnish documentation certifying that all third-party vendors in their supply chain are complying with the specified ISO standards.
The IT Deliverables Standard, which identifies additional applicable deliverables specific to each project, will be provided to prospective vendors prior to contract completion or upon request and must be identified within 30 days of contract signing and documented as milestones in the project plan. The RFP carries no Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) or Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) contracting goals, both set at 0.00 percent. No identical or substantially similar procurement contracts have been awarded to business enterprises within the past five years.
