About this file
This is Amendment 2 to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the State of South Carolina, Department of Mental Health (DMH) Administration, for physician credentialing and privileging services. The original solicitation number is 5400022238, and this amendment modifies key dates and clarifies provider database requirements. Offers must be submitted online at http://www.procurement.sc.gov by March 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM ET. A pre-bid Teams web conference is scheduled for January 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM ET. Questions from offerors must be received by January 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM ET. The award will be posted on April 29, 2022. Offerors must maintain their offers open for a minimum of 120 calendar days following the opening date. The amendment clarifies that DMH credentials providers on a two-year cycle and requests vendors to specify the total number of active providers in the system, excluding archival information on inactive providers.
The solicitation requires submission of a signed cover page with the offer and acknowledgment of any amendments received. Offerors must identify their entity type (sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, tax-exempt corporation, or government entity), state vendor number, state of incorporation if applicable, and provide home office, notice, payment, and order addresses. The procurement officer is Kathy Santandreu, reachable at 803-896-5304 or ksantandreu@mmo.sc.gov. All solicitation documents, amendments, and award information will be posted on the South Carolina procurement website.

Vendor Questions with answers:
QUESTION 29 (below for reference): the total number of providers that are active in your system. When you say you Credential 2,355 providers in a year, to me that may be half of your provider population if you credential every 2 years, or 1/3 of your provider population if you credential providers on a 3-year cycle.
To clarify, maybe your organization does credential every provider, every year – but that would be unusual. Another way of looking at the question: if you run a roster of all active providers (those that provide any type of service and have any type of license) how many would that be?
An additional clarifying question (this may help my issue as well) – how frequently do you credential providers? Is it annual, every 2 years, every 3 years?
Answer:
Our organization credentials providers every 2 years.
29. Please let us know how many active providers will be in the database. This is any provider that is active in your system and should not include archival information on providers that are no longer active. Please see exhibit at the end of this document.

All other terms, condition, bidding instruction, and specifications remain unchanged.
