About this file
This document is an amendment to Request for Quote (RFQ) 109 for Snow Removal Services for the Juvenile Correction Center (JCC) in Nampa, Idaho. The original RFQ has been significantly revised, with changes to the timelines, the scope of work, and the pricing sheet. The revised RFQ includes a new mandatory site visit, a new deadline for written questions, and a new due date for receipt of quotes. The RFQ is being re-opened to additional vendors due to an issue with the e-procurement system that failed to notify any suppliers initially. The scope of work has been updated to include deicing services, and the pricing sheet has been revised to reflect these changes. The contract is expected to be awarded to the lowest bidder that meets the specifications, and may be renewed multiple times.
The pricing for this RFQ must be submitted using the revised Exhibit B - Price Sheet, and vendors are not allowed to provide a flat rate for the season. Vendors are allowed to pretreat surfaces prior to storms. A site visit was held on September 20, 2023, and the attendees and notes from that visit are provided.

AMENDMENT 1
TO: All concerned vendors
RE: RFQ 109, Request for Quote (RFQ) for Snow Removal for JCC-Nampa, closing (as of this amendment) 5:00 p.m. Mountain time, October 24, 2023.
I. The following are changes made to the RFQ.
1. The RFQ’s administration document is hereby deleted and replaced by the attached document with “REV 1” in red towards the top of the first page. Changes made are as follows:
a. Section 2, Time Lines has changed significantly.
b. Below section 13, Response, the table with List of Attachments and Required Submittal Items has changed.
(Part of the reason why we added another mandatory site visit, set another due date for written questions and another due date for receipt of quotes is because we encountered an issue with our e-procurement system in which it did not notify any suppliers (Vendors). We have rectified that, and need to open this opportunity to other Vendors.)
2. The RFQ’s Exhibit A – Scope of Work is hereby deleted and replaced by the attached document with “REV 1” in red towards the top of the first page. Changes made are as follows:
a. A new section 2 has been added. Renumbering has occurred below that.
3. The RFQ’s Exhibit B – Price Sheet is hereby deleted and replaced by the attached document with “REV 1” in red towards the top of the first page. Changes made are as follows:
a. A new Line Item 2 has been added. Renumbering has occurred below that. Other related changes have been made above what is now Line Item 3.
II. The following are questions, statements, clarifications, and their responses regarding the referenced RFQ. This additional information is added to and is made part of the referenced RFQ.

I didn’t see a map of the area that needs to be serviced. Do you know if there is one available? Also is this up for bid on a yearly basis?
We didn’t include a map, but, there is a mandatory site visit so you can become familiar with the area to be serviced. You will need to sign up for the site visit by the deadline for providing an RSVP for it.
If we’re able to award a contract from this RFQ, it will most likely be renewed a number of times, so, no, this will probably not be up for bid on a yearly basis.
There wasn't any mention of ice melt that i saw under exhibit b for pricing as well as for sidewalk snow removal pricing.
We have made changes to the RFQ that include deicing.
Are we allowed to pretreat surfaces prior to storms?
Yes. We have made changes to the RFQ that include deicing.
Can we provide a flat rate for the season to cover plowing, sidewalks and deicer and not have to wait to be called out?
Vendors must price this in accordance with the requirements of Exhibit B – Price Sheet, and must use Exhibit B – Price Sheet to submit their pricing.
Are these pretty much going to the lowest bid?
To the lowest bidder that meets our specifications. See section 12, Award Basis and Term.
III. A site visit was held on September 20, 2023 at 9 a.m. Mountain time at JCC-Nampa. The following are the attendees and notes provided by the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections staff member below.
Attendees:
Levi Griffith, JCC-Nampa Tim Boeving, Boise Snow and Ice
Note from Levi Griffith: I showed him the layout of the parking lot, what entrances would need cleared, where to pile snow, and the sidewalks that could be cleared if he decided to include it in his quote.
There are no other changes.
Thank you for your interest in supplying the needs of the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections.
