About this file

This document is Amendment #1 to Bid #26-426DOC-FOXVA-R-317309, issued by the Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC). The amendment consists of a response to vendor questions regarding a combination locks procurement with key override capability.

The amendment clarifies that keys are not required to be included with the locks, addressing vendor confusion about the specifications. The lock in question is identified by part number 1525, which is typically sold separately from its corresponding key (part number 1525K). By issuing this clarification, IDOC removed ambiguity from the original solicitation requirements, allowing vendors to submit bids for locks without including keys as a mandatory component of the contract award.

IDOC – Combination Locks w Key Override Bid # 26-426DOC-FOXVA- R-317309 Amendment #1 Response to Vendor’s Questions

1. Vendor: Are you requiring the key be included for each lock? The description seems to indicate as much but I want to be sure. Usually, the lock (PN: 1525) is sold separately from the key (PN: 1525K).

Agency Response: We are not requiring keys to be included with the locks.
